A friend of mine ran off to California to learn to be a sommelier (I am not making this up.) So, naturally, I had to fly out to the West Coast to meet up. Just back from a road trip from San Francisco to Vancouver.

And I bring this back from the Department of Helpful Tips: If you want to fit in with wine people without, like, learning about wine, just swirl your glass and look pensive. Also, apparently you’re not allowed to say your wine smells like grapes. Even if it totally does.
