Higher, Faster, Stockinette

Olympics time! While I have a long, long list of reasons to side-eye the Olympics, I still love them.

It is A Thing for some people to knit challenging complex stuff during the Olympics and good for them. Myself, I want to knit something simple and mindless because I need to keep looking at the screen. (It is an ironclad rule of sports that the second I look away something exciting happens.)

I couldn’t sleep the other night so I got up and watched the Figure Skating and Snowboarding Broadcast for Insomniacs and made a good start on a fine gauge, mostly stockinette sweater.

These colours kind of make me want to award points to Gryffindor. I guess quidditch is more of a summer sport though.
